Ryan Hayward was named Chief of Staff in December of 2021. Based in both Albany and New York City, Hayward is responsible for overseeing all policy development, administrative operations, and staff for the Inspector General, statewide.
Emily Logue was named Chief Counsel in September 2022. Based in Albany, Logue is responsible for providing proactive legal counsel to the Inspector General and OIG on a wide range of topics, and oversees OIG’s internal and external training efforts.
Matthew Petell was named Chief Technology Officer in May of 2022. Based in Albany, Petell is responsible for the agency’s management and oversight of Information Technology (IT) and Digital Forensics.
Caitlyn Jaile was named Deputy Chief of Staff in September of 2022. Based in New York City, Jaile is responsible for managing high priority projects and initiatives and ensuring that all matters requiring the attention of the Inspector General and Chief of Staff are thoroughly developed, researched, and evaluated. Jaile also acts as the Office’s Statewide Internship Coordinator and oversees the curriculum and supervision of all law fellows and interns.
